About The Position

This position is for a Surgical Technician in a sensitive unit with diverse service lines including Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General surgery, GYN & Orthopedics. The role requires a minimum of 4 years of Operating Room experience, specifically including Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Ortho. Candidates will undergo a clinical screen for fit and must be fully compliant to start on time. Orientation hours are based on contract length.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of Operating Room experience.
• Experience in Neurology.
• Experience in Transplant surgery.
• Experience in General Surgery.
• Experience in GYN surgery.
• Experience in Orthopedics surgery.
• Ability to float within the facility/scope of practice and to Outpatient as needed.
• Full compliance required to start on time.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operative procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a sterile environment.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Handle specimens and cultures.
• Perform surgical site preparation and draping.
• Dispose of contaminated materials properly.
• Assist with patient positioning.
• Provide post-operative care as directed.
