About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician / Certified Surgical Technologist for an Adult Operating Room assignment at a high-acuity teaching and trauma facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive scrub experience across multiple surgical specialties and be comfortable working in a fast-paced Level I or Level II Trauma Center environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room experience (within the last 4 years)
• Current Surgical Technologist Certification required
• Recent experience in a: Level I Trauma Center
• Level II Trauma Center
• Teaching Hospital
• Comparable high-acuity acute care facility
• Strong scrub experience required
• First-time travelers accepted only if they have experience in hospitals of similar size and complexity
• Candidates must have recent experience scrubbing the following specialties: Trauma Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat), Vascular Surgery, Gynecological Surgery, Neurosurgery, Bariatric Surgery, Genitourinary (GU) Procedures

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures.
• Set up instruments, supplies, and equipment according to surgical case requirements.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection prevention standards.
• Perform surgical counts according to facility policies.
• Assist with patient positioning and operating room turnover.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and perioperative team members.
