About The Position

Lead and coordinate shift operations including schedules and resources. Assist surgeons during surgery, providing required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon and assisting with hemostasis. Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures. Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching. Provide input to staff performance evaluations.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and SurgicalAssisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Commission for the Certification of SurgicalAssistants (NCCSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
3 years of OR experience
2 years of Neurosurgery experience
