Surgical Services Assistant OR
About The Position
This role is responsible for performing a variety of duties in surgical services to maintain a well-supplied, sterile environment. The Surgical Services Assistant will perform terminal cleaning of each operating room daily, including thorough decontamination of furniture, equipment, and air vents. They will also transport case carts, equipment, and supplies, and dispose of hazardous waste according to policies and procedures. Additionally, the role involves monitoring and maintaining supply inventories at an appropriate par level and providing physical assistance for patient positioning, lifting, and moving as directed by clinical nursing staff.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Surgical Tech preferred.
