About The Position

The Surgical Technologist prepares the equipment, instruments, and supplies during surgery as well as protects the sterile area. Incumbents must have a clear understanding of the surgical procedure being performed in order to anticipate needs of the performing surgeon.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 3 to 5 years experience required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical record documentation preferred.
