The Surgical Scheduling Coordinator reports to the Ambulatory Clinical Manager and/or Practice Manager and performs a variety of surgical scheduling duties with multiple hospital operating rooms, medical admissions and pre-admission testing (PAT). In addition to the duties of the surgical coordinator, the following is list of the primary responsibilities for the Cosmetic Surgical Scheduling Coordinator. Follow up on customer calls for cosmetic services. Thorough understanding of all cosmetic services. Educate patients about cosmetic options during phone inquiries. Educate and update department staff about current services. Discuss surgery costs with patients and facilitate with surgery dates. Follow up with patients after initial consultation. Develop a list for patients for future follow-up. Support patient needs and expand relationships with existing clientele. Schedule surgery efficiently, working with hospitals, physicians, patients and staff. Surgical confirmation phones calls. Provide patients with pre and Post operation dates and processes. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and providers. Maintain an up-to-date price list for all cosmetic and Laser procedures in addition to over the counter products /control inventory. Maintain great report with the surgical sites and staff. Maintain an up to date portfolio for the physicians and providers in the plastic surgery to be used for reference by patients. Maintain a brochure/pamphlet for the services providers. Maintain marketing materials for patient handouts and mailing. Travel to surgical locations for patient/surgeon assistance if need be.
