Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules surgical procedures to ensure optimal utilization of operating rooms, equipment, and surgical staff.
• Liaises with physician offices to gather necessary scheduling information and accommodate patient and physician needs while adhering to department guidelines.
• Manages the assignment of operating suites, equipment, and time blocks to maximize resource efficiency.
• Accurately enters required patient demographic, billing, and insurance data into electronic medical records to prevent surgery delays.
• Reschedules procedures as necessary to accommodate emergency cases and other unanticipated logistical changes.
