Requirements
- Commitment to patient-centered multidisciplinary critical care.
- BE/BC in critical care with excellent clinical training.
- BE/BC in general surgery.
- MD degree.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced training in critical care preferred.
- Strong interest in clinical research and medical education are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Staffing a 40-bed surgical ICU (20 cardiac/20 neuro) 24/7 with an Intensivist.
- Working about 12-14, 12-hour shifts per month, rotating between consecutive day and night shifts.
- Serving as the SICU Attending with responsibility for Critical Care in-house response.
- Performing initial evaluations of new admissions to the unit.
- Collaborating with primary attending or surgeon.
- Opportunity to be involved in the general surgery call pool.
