About The Position

The Surgical Evaluation Technician I uses technical and mechanical skills to evaluate incoming and outgoing surgical medical instruments within an assigned modality. The role performs quality control testing, inspects and tests equipment, identifies defective or worn parts and craftsmanship that fails to meet standards, and verifies outgoing equipment operates properly. The technician documents services and testing, prepares instruments and equipment for shipping, and maintains the work area according to Visual Work Place standards. The position is located at Agiliti’s Repair Center and Flex Lab in St. Louis, Missouri, and has Monday–Friday daytime hours. The stated pay is $18 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, and stoop often.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
• Some cost awareness and performance.
• Flexibility in work schedule to meet department needs.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to perform equipment decontamination processes if needed.
• Maintain modality and department standards.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of repair experience; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic incoming and outgoing quality control testing of assigned equipment for the identified modality.
• Receive, inspect, evaluate, and test incoming equipment.
• Identify defective or worn parts and equipment craftsmanship that does not meet standards.
• Ensure outgoing equipment operates properly and meets standards.
• Document services and testing performed, including parts needed.
• Maintain the work area in good condition and meet Visual Work Place standards.
• Prepare instruments and equipment for shipping.
• Handle timecard and time-off entry, review, and submission.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or needed.
