About The Position
ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers is hiring a Surgical Dental Assistant to support its clinical team and provide patient care during dental implant procedures. The role works directly with a Prosthodontist and may assist in oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics. The assistant helps patients feel comfortable and informed and contributes to a collaborative, patient-focused clinical environment.
Requirements
- Valid certifications that meet applicable state requirements.
- At least 2 years of experience in a dental assisting role.
- Strong manual dexterity and the ability to handle dental instruments precisely.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Comfort with radiographic equipment and digital dental technology.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with dental implants or prosthodontics.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Prosthodontist with advanced dental procedures, particularly dental implant treatments.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control standards.
- Provide chair-side assistance, anticipate the dentist’s needs, and keep the treatment area clear and organized.
- Help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visits.
- Take dental x-rays, process radiographs, and assist with radiographic imaging.
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations.
- Educate patients about post-operative care and general oral hygiene.
- Support the prosthetic team with inventory management, lab coordination, and recordkeeping.
- Perform office tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments, receiving patients, maintaining records, and ordering supplies.
- Collaborate with clinical staff, including oral surgeons, hygienists, and Patient Education Consultants, to support patient care.
- Assist in specialized areas such as oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics.
