Join us and experience what it's like to take pride in being part of a dynamic team that is on the cutting edge. Our team is currently seeking a dual role Surgical Coordinator/Patient Representative. This is a full-time, Monday- Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm position at our Coral Springs and Plantation offices. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Patient Representative with Surgical Coordinating experience. We are looking for a motivated, multitasked professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, with experience in EMR and PM systems, insurance verification, and check in/check procedures. Candidate should also be and willing to learn all aspects of the ENT and Allergy field.

Requirements

  • Minimum one-year medical office experience
  • Cosmetic and medical surgical procedure scheduling experience
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians, and team members.
  • Strong computer literacy.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical experience is a plus
  • Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Providing superior customer service to all patients and guests
  • Answer multi-line phones
  • Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
  • Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
  • Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
  • Insurance Verification
  • Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA/NP availability
  • Maintain hard copy patient records as well as the files stored in our EHR
  • Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help them schedule testing for off-site services
  • Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
  • Answering patient calls and surgery inquiries
  • Patient Counseling under the direction of the office manager and surgeon
  • Verification of surgical benefits and obtaining authorizations
  • Scheduling surgical procedures at our credentialed centers and hospitals
  • Reconciliation of deposits and copays for surgery
  • Ensure medical clearance, pre-op and post op instructions are relayed to patient in a timely manner
  • Obtaining proper consents for appropriate surgical procedures
  • Provide updates to surgeon in a timely manner
