About The Position

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible general surgical pathologist with subspecialty training in breast pathology. The department is a large, comprehensive facility with 55 faculty members, handling over 8 million laboratory tests and approximately 70,000 surgical pathology cases annually. It boasts first-class facilities, including excellent gross and intraoperative consultation rooms, a skilled team of pathologist assistants, and a large-scale histology service. On-site ancillary testing includes an immunohistochemistry laboratory, molecular diagnostics with comprehensive NGS panels, and cytogenetics. The department also supports a robust residency and fellowship program with various subspecialties. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a major quaternary medical care facility and Level 1 trauma center. Beverly Pathology, an independently contracted private pathology group within the Cedars-Sinai Health System's Foundation, provides exclusive pathology services to the Medical Center and will recruit the successful candidate. Faculty are committed to graduate medical education, research, departmental/institutional committees, and tumor board presentations. The ideal candidate will have strong advanced diagnostic skills, subspecialty training or experience, and preferably 3-5 years of prior attending-level experience. Eligibility for an academic appointment in the Cedars-Sinai Health System Professorial Program is also required.

Requirements
