Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
- CPR - Basic Life Support
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
- Certified in Surgical Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical assistance, under the direct supervision of the surgeon to assist in carrying out an operation with optimal results for the patient.
- Clinical skills performed will include positioning the patient, preparing the skin and providing visualization of the operative site.
- Assists with hemostasis, closure of body planes and selection and application of dressings and splints.
