About The Position

A well-established, busy specialty office is seeking a highly motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) for long-term employment. The practice is committed to excellent patient care and seeks a professional team player who can multitask, use time efficiently, and anticipate the doctor’s needs. The employer is willing to train the right candidate. The position requires working 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime, and commuting between the Napa and Sonoma locations.

Requirements

• Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
• Valid California X-ray license.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least one year of dental assisting experience.
• Attention to detail.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Friendly, outgoing manner with patients and fellow staff.
• Ability to commute to and work at both Napa and Sonoma locations.
• Ability to multitask, use time efficiently, and anticipate the doctor’s needs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous oral surgery experience.
• OMSA certificate.
• Dental Anesthesia Assistant Permit through the Dental Board of California.
• Knowledge of emergency procedure identification and treatment.
• Familiarity with dental/oral surgery software; DSN preferred.
• Computer proficiency and typing speed of 35 words per minute.
• Fluent, clear Spanish reading, speaking, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures involving local anesthesia and IV sedation.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare trays.
• Take and monitor vital signs and monitor patient recovery.
• Follow medical emergency protocols.
• Assist with consultations and post-operative visits.
• Perform lab and 3D printing work.
• Organize and restock supplies and rooms as needed.
• Share other duties as needed among the assistants.
