About The Position

The Surgery Department has 3 operating rooms, 2 endo suites, a c-section room, and supports other services including manometry and bronchoscopy. It is the busiest regional site performing roughly 200 more procedures than other top performing regional sites monthly. We see a variety of cases including multi-specialty, ortho, general OB/GYN, urology, dentistry, Ear Nose and Throat, and bariatric. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• AHA or ARC American Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 Days required

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree in related field Preferred
• 2 years of relevant experience Patient Care Preferred
• 1 year of relevant experience in Operating Room Preferred
• Anesthesia Technician Certification (Cer. A.T.) preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation, delivery, and clean-up of patient care during the intra-operative phase.
• Contributes to the smooth operation of the unit.
• Obtains and organizes necessary equipment, sterile supplies, and instruments for each surgical case.
• Assembles surgical supplies for rooms and case tables.
• Opens sterile supplies for surgical procedures.
• Cleans equipment (including decontamination and sterilization of instruments), work areas and reusable supplies and returns unneeded equipment to appropriate department.
• Follows-up on equipment needing repairs.
