About The Position

Stonecliff Animal Clinic of New Hampshire is a multi-doctor, full-service general practice that has been providing high-quality veterinary medicine since 1990. It is a sister hospital to Dr. Dan Kelly’s Stonecliff Veterinary Surgical Center. The clinic operates a brand-new facility offering a wide range of services including preventative care, wellness care, routine and complex surgery, ultrasound, dental, and behavioral case management. Stonecliff is an AAHA accredited hospital, known for its friendly and caring environment for both clients and patients. The clinic's goal is to deliver the best veterinary medical care in the northeast, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, highly knowledgeable staff, and a genuine love for their patients and their companions. This specific position is heavily focused on assisting with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring, requiring candidates to be proficient in both areas.

Requirements

A certified veterinary technician
2+ year experience
Experienced and proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoring
Knowledge in pre-operative care
Knowledge in preparation for surgical procedures
Knowledge in post-operative care
Knowledge in discussing continued care with clients
Ability to interpret medical records and record client history accurately
Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
A high work ethic and positive attitude team member
Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work
Weekend availability
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin
Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests
Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs
A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset
Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency

Responsibilities

Assisting with surgical procedures
Anesthesia monitoring

Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
