About The Position

MedVet is seeking a collaborative and driven Surgery Technician Assistant to join its clinical team. The role is part of a fast-paced surgery department that offers training across multiple facets of the department and interaction with other hospital teams. The position requires strong communication skills to liaise between surgeons and clients and provide post-operative care instructions. The assistant helps provide quality patient care and supports the surgical team in maintaining accurate documentation and an efficient clinical environment.

Requirements

Effective patient restraint skills.
Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Prior veterinary experience required.

Responsibilities

Ensure patients receive quality care.
Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
Provide oversight and care for stable patients.
Assist Veterinary Technicians with patient restraint.
Manage restocking of supplies for clinical teams.
Maintain clean treatment areas and manage department laundry needs.
