Surgery Veterinary Assistant - Part Time
About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Nashville, TN is seeking a dedicated Part-time Sterile Supply Assistant to join our Surgery team! This person should be organized and focused on maintaining high-quality instruments and patient care through sterile preparation. As a Sterile Supply Assistant, you will prepare instruments and operating room for surgery, troubleshoot and remove faulty equipment from service to submit for repair or replacement, maintain appropriate quantities of surgical supplies and equipment, decontaminate and clean operating rooms, sterile supply room, and equipment according to established procedures, clean and sterilize instruments and wrapping packs, serve as a resource/reference to surgical team with regards to surgical equipment, provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values, and safely handle and restrain animal patients for examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Prepare instruments and operating room for surgery.
- Troubleshooting and removing faulty equipment from service to submit for repair or replacement.
