About The Position

The Surgical Technician position is part of the Surgery Department and is a full-time role working 80 hours per two-week pay period. Standard working hours are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with flexible scheduling to meet departmental needs and includes call, weekend, and holiday responsibilities as needed. The Surgical Technician provides high-quality perioperative support while maintaining patient safety, teamwork, and professionalism across all surgical procedures.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent experience
BLS certification required
Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines
Calm under pressure, independent thinker, and committed to exceptional patient care and customer service

Nice To Haves

Previous operating room experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Provide perioperative support within the Surgery Department and assist other departments as needed
Perform all duties of a surgical scrub technician, including maintaining a sterile field, handling specimens properly, and assisting practitioners during procedures
Maintain proficiency in central supply and sterilization procedures and techniques
Assist in managing and maintaining surgical supplies and equipment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care
Support teamwork, safety, and professional standards in the perioperative environment
