About The Position

The Surgical Technician handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment utilized during the surgical procedure. The technologist must understand the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon. The Surgical Technician conveys instruments and supplies to the surgeon, assists the surgeon as necessary, and is responsible for maintenance of the sterile field. This is a safety sensitive position.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Graduation from a surgical technology training program or related training and/or experience
• Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers

Nice To Haves

• Previous Operating Room experience desired, especially in Orthopedics, but not mandatory.
