About The Position

The Surgical Technician will work directly with the surgeon and the circulating registered nurse. Creates and maintains a sterile field while assisting the surgeon in delivering effective surgical intervention. The position’s duties are highly variable, so the successful candidate must be willing adapt to change and keep pace with the other OR professionals on staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate from surgical technologist school or one (1) year of acute care hospital experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Basic computer skills
• Two (2) years surgery technician experience in the Operating Room environment
• Scrub majority of service-lines independently
• Ability to precept others and is recognized as a resource for other staff
