About The Position

As a Surgery Scheduling Coordinator at TriHealth, you’ll play a vital role in delivering seamless, high-quality surgical care while working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. This role involves scheduling elective and urgent procedures, coordinating with surgery and cysto schedules, and arranging pre-admission and pre-procedure testing. The coordinator will communicate pertinent patient information to relevant departments and document physician complaints or scheduling preference issues.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
1 - 2 years experience medical office scheduling
Knowledge of Medical and Surgical terminology and familiarity with surgical procedures
Computer skills

Possesses computer proficiency, knowledge of surgical procedures, and understanding of medical and surgical terminology.

Responsibilities

Documents surgeon complaints and follows through on problem-solving related to meeting surgeon scheduling preferences.
Ensures accurate information is obtained from preference cards and/or Sales Representatives and coordinates this information with the OR and other departments.
Ensures accurate information is obtained from surgeons and/or surgeons' offices and communicates this information to the OR and other relevant departments.
Maintains strong rapport and cooperation when working with surgeon office staff, other departments, and co-workers; demonstrates effective teamwork.
Schedules elective and urgent cases using strong organizational skills.
Anticipates and manages schedule changes independently without requiring explicit direction.
