About The Position

Schedules inpatient and outpatient surgery, tests, and procedures. Obtains insurance authorization and pre-certification for surgery and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Requires knowledge of medical terminology.
• 1 year of customer service experience, medical office experience, computer experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, interpret, and respond to different situations and able to communicate appropriately.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining an effective relationship with patients, staff, and the public.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Ability to learn or have knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.
• Ability to perform in high volume, multi-task environment.
• Requires a clear, pleasant, understandable telephone voice.
