About The Position

As a Surgery Scheduler, you’ll coordinate surgical appointments so patients, physicians, and partner facilities stay aligned and informed. This role exists to keep surgery plans accurate, timely, and clearly documented while supporting a smooth patient experience. Key responsibilities include coordinating surgery dates/locations, sharing prep and arrival guidance, confirming insurance requirements, and maintaining accurate physician surgery calendars. You’ll document in NextGen/UroChart and help ensure needed pre-certifications, prior authorizations, and referrals are in place.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of surgery scheduling experience
Medical terminology knowledge
Some insurance background

Responsibilities

Coordinate surgery dates/locations
