Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Requires knowledge of medical terminology.
- 1 year of customer service experience, medical office experience, computer experience preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, interpret, and respond to different situations and able to communicate appropriately.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining an effective relationship with patients, staff, and the public.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively to emergency situations.
- Ability to learn or have knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.
- Ability to perform in high volume, multi-task environment.
- Requires a clear, pleasant, understandable telephone voice.

Responsibilities
- Schedules inpatient and outpatient surgery, tests, and procedures.
- Obtains insurance authorization and pre-certification for surgery and procedures.
