About The Position
We are looking for a Full Time Surgery Scheduler to join our team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks with frequent interruption
- Working knowledge of medical insurances
- 1 year experience with physician group practice preferred
- EHR/EMR experience, NextGen preferred
Nice To Haves
- college
- Experience as an MA, LPN, or RN a plus
Responsibilities
- Verifying patient eligibility and coverage
- Scheduling surgeries, hospital procedures, and pre/post-op appointments
- Discussing preoperative instructions with the patient, as directed by the physicians
- Obtaining all requested medical clearances, preoperative testing, lab and EKG results as indicated
- Additional duties as assigned
