About The Position
Regional Hand Center is growing and has a new opportunity for an experienced SURGERY SCHEDULER. This at-will, full-time position is part of a supportive, interactive team. The selected candidate will be responsible for scheduling emergent and routine surgeries. Working to maximize the efficiency of the ambulatory surgery center staffing and resources while ensuring superior quality of care for patients, families, and internal customers.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- MINIMUM of (1) year of Surgery scheduling experience
- Bilingual English and Spanish
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) HST/NextGen
- Prior experience with insurance verification, preauthorization
- Familiar with medical clearances as they relate to surgical patients.
- Familiar with referrals, authorization, pre certifications, and eligibility.
- Experience with patient financial counseling and collecting out of pocket expenses from patients and families.
- Demonstrated excellent organizational, customer service, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual - English/Spanish
