This position requires a commitment to on-call shifts. When on-call, associates have 30 minutes to drive to the hospital, park, changing into surgical scrubs, and report to the charge RN. Candidates for this role must have recent OR experience as an RN in an acute care hospital. New graduates or tenured bedside RNs without OR experience need to apply to the OR RN Residency. Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The department has scheduled staff to operate 24/7/365. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. According to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care services to patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients.
