About The Position

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a Surgery RN Circulator (Part Time) to support safe, efficient surgical care by coordinating key perioperative activities and maintaining a strong focus on patient safety. This position is scheduled for day shift, 3 days per week, in Corydon, IN. You’ll start your day by reviewing the surgical schedule, confirming case details, and aligning plans with the team. Between cases, you’ll reset the room, update documentation, and coordinate next steps so transitions stay smooth and patients remain informed. Throughout the shift, you’ll communicate calmly with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff, staying attentive to timing, supplies, and safety checkpoints. The day closes with final chart completion and readiness checks that set up the next shift for success.

Requirements

Active Indiana RN license
1+ years of perioperative nursing/OR experience
Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
Current BLS and ACLS certification

Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room and verify equipment, supplies, and sterility
Circulate during procedures, anticipate team needs, and support patient positioning
Document care accurately in EHR and surgical documentation systems
Promote adherence to sterile technique and established safety protocols
Review the surgical schedule, confirm case details, and align plans with the team
Reset the room between cases
Update documentation between cases
Coordinate next steps between cases
Communicate calmly with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff
Stay attentive to timing, supplies, and safety checkpoints
Complete final chart and readiness checks
