SURGERY LEAD RN
About The Position
The Surgery Lead RN provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care. This role addresses the psychosocial, physical, and clinical needs of patients within the surgical environment and functions across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative settings. The Surgery Lead RN collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, efficient, and effective patient care. In addition to the responsibilities of a Surgery RN, the Lead RN provides day-to-day operational leadership for Surgical Services, coordinates staffing and workflow, supports quality and regulatory initiatives, and serves as a clinical resource and liaison for staff, providers, and leadership.
Requirements
- Current Washington State RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS & NRP certifications required (or obtained within one year of hire date).
- Associates Degree in Nursing: Registered Nurse
- Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience as a in a nursing leadership, supervisory, or charge position.
- Background in precepting/training/mentoring staff
- 2-3 years’ previous clinical experience in a hospital setting
