Lutheran Hospital’s operating room consists of eight operating room suites and one dedicated cystoscopy suite. Offering sophisticated technology and advanced medical care in an intimate and friendly environment, our surgical volume is composed primarily of orthopedics, including spine, total joint, and sports procedures. Other services provided include general surgery, podiatry, urology, and more. As a member of this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. You will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ASN, BSN)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within six months of hire

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
  • Perform scrub and circulating functions.
  • Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
  • Other duties as assigned.
