About The Position

As our Charge RN (Perioperative), you will serve as a vital clinical subject matter expert and behavioral role model within our Operating Room team at Mercy Hospital-Council Bluffs. You will be instrumental in advancing the CommonSpirit Health mission by leading the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-centered nursing care. In this leadership capacity, you will foster a culture of professional excellence, mentor nursing staff, and facilitate process improvements that drive positive clinical outcomes and exceptional patient satisfaction. Every day you will oversee shift operations by coordinating daily work plans, managing staffing schedules, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards through patient and environmental rounding. You will balance fiscal management duties—such as monitoring supply usage and payroll—with hands-on clinical leadership.
