As our Charge RN (Perioperative), you will serve as a vital clinical subject matter expert and behavioral role model within our Operating Room team at Mercy Hospital-Council Bluffs. You will be instrumental in advancing the CommonSpirit Health mission by leading the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-centered nursing care. In this leadership capacity, you will foster a culture of professional excellence, mentor nursing staff, and facilitate process improvements that drive positive clinical outcomes and exceptional patient satisfaction. Every day you will oversee shift operations by coordinating daily work plans, managing staffing schedules, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards through patient and environmental rounding. You will balance fiscal management duties—such as monitoring supply usage and payroll—with hands-on clinical leadership. By facilitating ongoing problem-solving, conducting on-the-job training, and acting as a central point of communication, you will ensure your team is supported, highly trained, and prepared to deliver superior surgical care. To be successful in this role, you will hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and current Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) certification. We are seeking a dedicated professional with strong critical thinking, conflict resolution, and delegation skills who can effectively manage complex workloads in a fast-paced environment. You must be a skilled communicator capable of bridging the gap between management and clinical practice, ensuring all team members adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards in the Operating Room.
