About The Position

The Charge Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and supervising unit activities during a specified shift. The nurse assesses unit census, patient status, and staffing numbers, and develops assignments for licensed and non-licensed staff to ensure adequate care delivery. The role manages patient flow, including admissions, discharges, and transfers, and addresses patient and staff concerns during the shift. Additional duties are assigned by the Director. The position is described as day work with 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

• Three to five years of job-related experience.
• Current RN licensure by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing.
