About The Position

The Charge Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and supervising unit activities during a specified shift. The position works 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

• Three to five years of job-related experience.
• Current RN licensure by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess unit census, patient status, and staffing numbers.
• Develop assignments for licensed and non-licensed staff to ensure adequate delivery of care.
• Manage patient flow, including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Address patient and staff concerns during the shift.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Director.
