About The Position

The Surgery Center Manager is responsible for driving consistent operational, financial, people, patient-experience, and compliance performance at Azul Surgical Arts. You'll work closely with clinic leaders, providers, clinical leadership, the Surgical Coordination Manager, regional leadership, and organizational partners to translate business priorities into effective day-to-day operations, develop high-performing teams, remove operational barriers, and create consistency across locations. We're looking for a leader who enjoys being in the business — coaching leaders, understanding performance, identifying opportunities, solving problems, and helping teams deliver an exceptional experience for both patients and team members.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare, medical practice operations, aesthetics, ambulatory surgery, or a related environment.
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience with responsibility for developing and managing teams.
  • Experience overseeing complex operations, multiple departments, and/or multiple locations.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, staffing, patient experience, compliance, and financial performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders, manage performance, and build high-performing teams.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to interpret operational and financial metrics.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to provide onsite leadership present at Surgical Arts Center in Fort Myers.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Surgical Center/OR leadership experience.
  • Experience in plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, medical aesthetics, dermatology, or ambulatory surgery.
  • Experience supporting an accredited ambulatory surgical facility.
  • Knowledge of Quad A/AAAA, AAAHC, Joint Commission, or similar accreditation standards.
  • Experience with budgeting, labor management, financial analysis, process improvement, and organizational change.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership oversight of the Surgical Arts Center and surgical coordination function.
  • Partner with the Surgical Coordination Manager, surgeons, and clinical leaders to support an appropriately staffed, resourced, compliant, and operationally effective surgical program.
  • Monitor surgical performance trends and participate in planning related to growth, capacity, staffing, and operational improvement.
  • Coach, develop, and hold accountable direct reports.
  • Establish clear expectations and conduct regular leadership touchpoints, performance conversations, and operational reviews.
  • Partner with Regional Manager and People Operations on recruitment, performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, retention, and leadership development.
  • Build a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, communication, growth, and patient-centered care.
  • Support and champion team member engagement and experience initiatives and action planning.
  • Monitor key financial and operational measures, including revenue, margins, patient volume, productivity, labor, budgets, and patient retention.
  • Identify performance trends and partner with leaders to develop and execute improvement plans.
  • Support budgeting, expense management, labor optimization, and responsible resource utilization.
  • Translate data and business trends into actionable priorities for clinic leaders.
  • Establish consistent expectations for exceptional patient service.
  • Monitor patient feedback, satisfaction trends, concerns, and service-recovery opportunities.
  • Partner with leaders to identify recurring themes and implement meaningful improvements that strengthen patient loyalty and the Azul experience.
  • Promote compliance with organizational policies, applicable healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, HIPAA, patient privacy, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain leadership oversight of accreditation readiness, including applicable Quad A/AAAA standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Promptly escalate significant patient-care, safety, regulatory, employment, or operational concerns to the appropriate leadership or functional partner.
