About The Position

Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics is seeking an enthusiastic Surgery Center Coordinator to join their team. This role is crucial in creating a memorable and fun service experience for every family, with a special emphasis on the new patient journey. The coordinator will be responsible for answering parent questions, ensuring they understand the benefits of suggested treatments, and managing financial arrangements. Requirements

  • Previous dental front office experience and/or oral surgery experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Dentrix or Planet DDS Denticon is a plus.
  • Clinical Sales Experience preferred.
  • Experience giving technical or clinical presentations in treatment presentations.
  • Requires strong financial acumen; experience discussing payment options, financing terms and overall comfort having sensitive financial conversations.
  • Able to exercise good judgment and keep confidential information with discretion.
  • Must love working with children.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Clean, neat professional appearance.
  • A self-starter with superb organizational skills, attention to detail, with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong communication skills are a MUST (verbal and written).
  • Requires a team player who can work independently; is proactive, reliable, punctual, able to prioritize tasks and manage time.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, supports the office culture, and stays strong under pressure.
  • Must be able to learn quickly and have a strong desire to grow professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Call new patient consults two days in advance to confirm information and answer questions.
  • Prepare insurance benefit information for each patient prior to their visit.
  • Greet families politely and professionally.
  • Provide consultations in a private area to ensure parent privacy and encourage questions.
  • Make all financial arrangements according to company guidelines.
  • Set up initial treatment appointments.
  • Follow up on all scheduled treatments and update doctors on their status.
  • Review schedules daily, weekly, and monthly, utilizing grids to fill open treatment times.
  • Communicate weekly with the CPMO regarding any scheduling concerns, such as consult backlogs or appointment shortages.
  • Communicate regularly with doctors about important developments.
  • Submit pre-authorizations if applicable.
  • Thank non-Kid's Care Dental doctors for referrals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of business and patient information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics.
