About The Position

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) is seeking a Surgery Center Administrator for Doctors United Surgery Center in Pasadena, TX. This facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and has 8 ORs and 4 PRs, performing procedures in various specialties. The ideal candidate will have Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) leadership experience or hospital surgical leadership experience with ASC exposure. This role offers the opportunity to lead day-to-day operations, support clinical quality, operational efficiency, and foster a positive experience for patients and employees. It is suited for leaders who value accountability, collaboration, and hands-on operational leadership.

Requirements

  • 2+ to 5 years experience
  • Executive Management Experience Required
  • Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree
  • Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) leadership experience or hospital surgical leadership experience with ASC exposure
  • Someone who wants to be in the role for more than 1 ½ years
  • Someone who is more from the business side over someone who is from the clinical side
  • Someone who is growth oriented
  • Someone who can build strong relationships with the physicians

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced ASC Administrator is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily facility operations, including administrative, clinical support, and business functions
  • Serve as liaison between the Governing Board, Medical Staff, facility leadership, and USPI’s Home Office
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, quality, and safety standards
  • Develop and manage operating, staffing, and capital budgets
  • Monitor financial performance and address operational risks
  • Oversee staffing, employee performance management, and workforce planning
  • Support physician relationships, credentialing processes, and medical staff coordination
  • Manage vendor, service, and physician contracts
  • Support quality improvement, infection control, and patient experience initiatives
  • Participate in operational reviews and facility performance reporting
  • Identify opportunities for service line development and operational improvement
