About The Position

Citizens Health is recruiting a registered nurse to work full-time as the Surgery and Wound Clinic Manager. Our Mission: Enhancing the lives of those we serve. It is comprised of: Citizens Medical Center - a 25 bed critical access hospital, Family Center for Health Care - an outpatient rural health clinic, Prairie Senior - a skilled nursing facility, Citizens Clubhouse - an onsite childcare center that cares for children 6 weeks to school age for our workforce, Citizens Medical Equipment - our durable medical equipment business, and Palace Drug Store - our outpatient pharmacy. Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Kansas (or eligible for licensure).
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in perioperative or wound care settings.
Prior leadership or charge nurse experience.
Strong understanding of OR protocols, infection prevention, and wound management practices.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or Health Care Administration.
Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN or WCC) or CNOR certification.
Experience in rural healthcare or critical access hospital settings.
Knowledge of EMR systems and surgical scheduling software.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, techs, and ancillary staff.
Supervise nursing care and treatment protocols for patients with chronic, surgical, diabetic, and pressure-related wounds.
Collaborate with wound care providers to implement best practices and monitor patient outcomes.
Ensure documentation, treatment plans, and follow-up care are accurately recorded and communicated.
Lead recruitment, onboarding, competency development, and performance evaluations.
Create and maintain a collaborative, patient-focused work environment.
Ensure departmental compliance with all relevant regulations (CMS, OSHA, The Joint Commission).
Support data collection for quality metrics such as surgical site infections (SSIs), wound healing rates, and patient satisfaction.
Assist in budgeting for equipment, staffing, and supply needs in both the OR and wound care areas.
Monitor inventory, control costs, and optimize resource utilization without compromising care quality.
Complete other duties, as assigned.
