Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in surgery or other management experience.
  • Obtain BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certifications.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound clinical and administrative decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Critical reasoning skills necessary to organize workload according to priorities.
  • Participates in educational conferences and maintains membership in professional associations, updating and maintaining professional knowledge and skills related to areas of practice.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and be on call.

  • BSN or MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to coordinators, nurses, scrub techs, and sterile processing staff in Infusion, Pre-Op, Operating Rooms, PACU, and Sterile Processing.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, infection control standards, and evidence-based practice across all areas.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical performance to improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of safety and quality assessment and performance improvement and program initiatives.
  • Develop and execute the department’s strategic plan that aligns with organizational goals.
