About The Position

This role is for a Surgical Technologist in the Labor and Delivery department at All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI. The position is part-time (.3 FTE) with a day schedule. The Surgical Technologist will be responsible for maintaining procedural excellence by preparing the operating room, ensuring all instruments, sterile fields, and equipment are ready. They will support the surgical team by anticipating and passing instruments, facilitating efficient procedural flow, and upholding sterile technique. The role also involves managing supplies, accurately monitoring instrument counts, and assisting with patient positioning, transport, draping, and supporting the surgeon for wound closure and hemostasis.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Maintain a state of procedural excellence by meticulously preparing the operating room, ensuring all instruments, sterile fields, and high-tech equipment are immediately ready for every surgical case.
Support the surgical team directly by skillfully anticipating and passing required instrumentation, facilitating a seamless, efficient procedural flow that contributes to successful surgical outcomes.
Uphold the highest standards of patient protection by rigorously following sterile technique, meticulously managing supplies, and accurately monitoring instrument counts throughout the procedure.
Ensure patient well-being and safety by assisting the team with critical tasks such as patient positioning, transport, draping, and providing support to the surgeon for wound closure and hemostasis.
