About The Position

The Nurse Tech provides inpatient bedside care for the General Medical Patient Population, which may include patients with a wide variety of diagnoses such as pneumonia, cellulitis, kidney failure, hyperglycemia, diabetic issues, ulcers, confused elderly, alcohol abuse, acute/chronic kidney injury, sepsis, and the psychiatric population. This role acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. The Nurse Tech performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. This job does not require CNA certification due to the extensive amount of orientation/on the job training provided. The Nurse Tech role will require 3-4 weekdays of classroom time with Nurse Educators, which are pre-scheduled and required WEEKDAY classes that will require attendance from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
