About The Position
This role is part of a talent pool for future openings at the Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada, which is set to become one of the world's largest potash mines. The operator will apply expertise to meet production schedules by controlling and monitoring mill equipment, using technical skills to solve problems and deliver for the customer. BHP is building a pool of talented individuals for upcoming opportunities.
Requirements
- Previous processing plant/mill experience.
- Grade 12 Diploma or GED Equivalency.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site operation of the mill processing equipment to optimise Potash operations.
- Follow direction and guidance from the mill shift supervisor and IOC mill controller.
- Perform all tasks maintaining a strong safety attitude.
- Identify actual or potential maintenance/operational problems and take appropriate action.
- Respond to emergency situations using standards defined for potash operation.
- Conduct a detailed handover with the incoming mill operator to ensure that all process and plant conditions are known and understood.
