Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering – Petroleum Preferred
  • 3 years of Upstream Oil and Gas Experience
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite (Powerpoint,Excel,etc)
  • Project management oriented and have the ability to prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Team oriented, have interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly to multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability or capacity to use analytical skills to problem solve and identify enhancement and optimization opportunities
  • Ability to quickly learn new workflows, tools and processes
  • Passionate about innovation and collaboration

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mapping software such as ArcGIS and Google Earth
  • Experience with programming languages (C++,SQL,etc)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate development strategies into an actionable plan for the execution team to ensure operational readiness in the Permian Basin.
  • Evaluating and recommending optimal well pad placement and directional trajectories accounting for constraints dictated by stakeholders including Land & Regulatory, Execution & Operations, Subsurface and Construction teams.
  • Assessing and optimizing operational flexibility for multiple scenarios in accordance with a field development plan.
  • Presenting the proposed surface plan to stakeholders.
  • Submitting and tracking survey requests.
  • Evaluating plats and maintaining the company’s planned and staked records.
  • Working closely with surveyors and construction to stake new pad locations in accordance to Oxy’s guidelines with regards to safety, legal standards and environmental requirements.
  • Working on multiple projects at once across the Permian Basin based on business needs and activity established by the Drilling Rig Schedule and Business Plan outlooks.
  • Keeping projects moving forward by resolving obstacles and facilitating well readiness for all new drills in their area of responsibility.
