About The Position

As a Surface Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot the cause of equipment failure, recommend repairs, and perform general maintenance on plant equipment, systems, and surrounding building machinery. This position requires the ability to work safely, independently or within a team, a wide mechanical knowledge, and flexibility for on-call schedules. The role involves working outdoors in a non-temperature-controlled environment, subject to weather conditions, and exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels. Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. A pre-placement physical and hair follicle drug test will be required, and placement is contingent on passing these requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Valid Driver’s License
Minimum two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience
Must be able to provide own basic standard and metric tools
Must be available to work a call-out schedule for a 24/7 operation

Nice To Haves

Crane operation experience preferred

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, replace and/or rebuild malfunctioning equipment.
Execute routine preventative maintenance checklist items, including lubrication and greasing of equipment, replacing screens and pumps, and checking oil levels.
Maintain various equipment such as above-ground machinery, plumbing, pumps, conveyors, elevators, structures, and compactors.
Conduct pre-shift inspections to ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
Assist with maintenance and operation of mobile and heavy equipment, including cranes and forklifts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
