About The Position

Puretec Industrial Water is a family-owned company in water treatment solutions, converting municipal water into highly purified deionized water for industrial applications across the Southwestern United States. Our systems support customers in industries ranging from solar energy to aerospace research. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform highly diversified duties related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment. This role supports our site's safety, productivity, and business objectives through effective preventive and predictive maintenance practices.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical process systems
  • Familiarity with PLC programming (Allen Bradley 500 and Panel Views)
  • Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
  • Proficiency with preventative maintenance systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of water treatment and environmental control systems
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills
  • Sound judgment and independent problem-solving ability
  • Professional communication skills with internal and external partners
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical, plumbing, or manufacturing work within an industrial environment
  • Valid State Driver's License and proof of liability insurance required

Nice To Haves

  • college experience preferred
  • Regeneration plant experience preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Relevant industry certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on plant equipment
  • Respond to equipment failures and complete required repairs
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, and work orders
  • Perform plumbing, carpentry, and basic machinist duties
  • Identify faulty equipment and coordinate resolution through vendor warranties or other means
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and workplace organization standards
  • Communicate regularly with plant personnel regarding maintenance needs
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to support shared operational goals
