About The Position

Under general supervision from maintenance supervisor, performs semi-skilled work on roads, walks and drainage systems/grounds. Uses a wide variety of medium and light motorized equipment to maintain repair and clean campus-area roads and grounds; loads and unloads materials from trucks; uses small hand and power tools; assists in snow removal; performs road maintenance activities. Performs other duties as assigned; works primarily first shift within Facilities Operations and Development Landscape Services, but is subject to changes in shift, hours, days, and/or location as operations dictate; may work overtime; subject to 24 hour emergency call in. Will require successful completion of a criminal background check.

Requirements

High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
100 hours of training in operation of medium and light equipment.
100 hours experience in concrete set-up and finishing.
Valid driver’s license upon employment.
Class A commercial driver’s license with tanker endorsement obtained within the first 150 days of the probationary period.
Must pass federally required pre-employment drug test.
Successful completion of a criminal background check.
