As the Surface Land Administration Student, you will be performing day-to-day activities and projects that will provide the development and understanding of the following skill sets: planning and organizing, systems, processes and general job knowledge. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in the Energy Asset Management Program or a related post-secondary education program
  • Experience with Accumap, Abadata, and provincial databases
  • General knowledge of the surface lifecycle
  • General knowledge of the Acts and Directives
  • All candidates applying to Canadian Natural must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Help facilitate abandonment and reclamation projects and understand activities related to the program
  • Ensure data integrity/maintenance of surface files
  • Assist with capital projects and understand the role of surface land in acquiring wells and facilities
  • Assist with procedure review and updating
  • Support the third-party process and understand liability and regulations associated to granting consent
  • Ad-hoc projects as required
