About The Position
Sure Walk is a program within UT Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) that offers non-judgmental assistance to members of the university community who have concerns about their safety when traveling across campus late at night. Sure Walk walkers/drivers operate in pairs and maintain regular communication with program coordinators and other staff members throughout their shifts.
Requirements
- Must be reliable, responsible, and have regular availability.
- Must maintain an unexpired Texas Driver’s License and a clear driving record.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be enrolled at an institution of higher learning and meet enrollment eligibility requirements for a non-academic student position.
- Must not be working for another UT department or State of Texas department.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Walk or drive a university cart or vehicle while accompanying university students, faculty, or staff across campus and into select locations near campus.
- Remain in communication with program coordinators and dispatchers, and report information about their location and patrons.
