About The Position

Infosys Consulting is currently seeking an Senior Principal with Utilities consulting experience. This role involves client relationship management, engagement delivery and management, proposal development and delivery, opportunity identification/creation, contract negotiation, talent management, industry eminence, practice building, and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Utilities sector and be capable of leading and growing consulting capabilities in areas such as AMI system planning and implementation, outage management system implementation, distribution asset management programs, advanced distribution management systems, improvements to power quality issues, and distribution system support of transmission operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 15 years of leadership experience, with strong sales/relationship management/account management experience.
  • At least 10 years of consulting experience in Utilities.
  • Ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

  • Bring current relationships and build and maintain professional relationship with senior and C-level client executives.
  • Expand professional network in client organizations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering differing viewpoints from client executives where necessary.
  • Anchor new and existing client accounts, and interface on engagement-level client concerns.
  • Take bottom line responsibility for Infosys program execution.
  • Provide vision and guidance to the team, bringing industry expertise to the engagement.
  • Manage key client stakeholders, periodic program review and ensuring quality checks are in place.
  • Intervene in critical situations and manage client escalations, working collaboratively with all parts of Infosys.
  • Be active in the details of the program and have a positive impact on the outcome.
  • Lead teams to prepare large proposals and program plans, identify Infosys differentiators, articulate our unique value proposition, review and fine tune the financials, and lead proposal presentations.
  • Create/identify multi-million-dollar opportunities within existing and new clients using industry expertise, industry relationships, intellectual capital, background in potential problem areas, knowledge of upcoming regulatory and market changes, and Infosys services offerings.
  • Analyze the probability of winning the deal & the criticality of the deal for Infosys, as well as appropriately prepare for negotiations on terms and conditions of the engagement with the client and obtain confirmation and approval from all internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to attract, develop and retain top consulting talent and the next generation of Infosys Consulting leaders.
  • Publish leading thinking on industry trends and participate in Industry forums co-presenting with clients on solutions to industry problems.
  • Identify growth strategies leveraging the full complement of Infosys capabilities.
  • Lead development of new offerings and building capabilities to deliver to clients.
  • Ensure operational excellence within portfolio, including pipeline management, forecasting, cash collections, etc.
