This position exists to oversee productivity and quality expectations and to ensure production schedules are met. This is a second shift position. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher desirable)
  • Lean or Six Sigma Yellow Belt (or equivalent) required; Green Belt preferred
  • MINIMUM OF THREE (3) YEARS OF PROGRESSIVE AND RELEVANT SUPERVISION EXPERIENCE IN A RELATED FIELD SUCH AS MANUFACTURING, MEDICAL DEVICES, INDUSTRIAL, AEROSPACE, OR AUTOMOTIVE
  • MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) YEARS OF MANUFACTURING PROCESS EXPERIENCE
  • STRONG LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE IN DIVERSE MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENTS
  • EXPERIENCE WITH COMPLEX SCHEDULING
  • Good leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to determine the scheduling and line placement of various assembly work orders using available business information
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tool designs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems at their root, independently or as part of a team
  • Understanding of continuous improvement practices, and able to lead others to complete improvement projects
  • Ability to delegate duties as needed
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees, as required by U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of ~14 automated equipment operators on 2nd shift
  • Follows established procedures and approved supervisory processes
  • Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information, which will dictate the manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities to be employed
  • Ensure that operators are working safely, as well as meeting production, quality, and cost targets
  • Administer and execute policies, procedures, and practices that affect supervised employees
  • Relentlessly drive improvement of the operations under their purview using Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement strategies, as well as by partnering with Engineering
  • Schedule production for high-quality, on-time/in-full delivery to the customer.
  • Play an integral role in creating a department that balances individual accountability with a fun, achievement-oriented, collegial environment
